Isaac was born in England on March 9, 1995 and came to the states in early 1996. At the time of his passing, he tipped the scales at just under a ton, and stood 19 hands tall. Aside from his impressive size, he also possessed the style, substance, and great attitude that we valued as breeders. His show record was enviable—consisting of dozens of grand and reserve championships, and two National Championships. Isaac consistently produced tall, long necked, well moving offspring, many of whom have accumulated their own impressive show records.

CAPTIONS: (Home pages): Performing in Fantasia at Equine Affaire. Isaac attended Equine Affaire in West Springfield, Massachusetts since its birth in 1998. He always drew a crowd, and was a great ambassador for the Shire breed over the years with his participation in youth presentations, breed demonstrations, and the Pfizer Fantasia. Most recently he appeared in the 2007 Fantasia show as one of three 10 year anniversary stallions, which is where this picture was taken! (Top left): New York State Fair 2006. (Above left): Grand Champion Stallion at NYS 2004. Even as an aged stallion (he was 9 in this picture!) Isaac continued to perform in the show ring. (Above right): Look at me stomp! Isaac's easy going personality and eager-to-please attitude made him a pleasure to work with in all aspects of performance. Not only was he a star in line classes, but he had been driven single and has also been ridden, exhibiting the versatility that Shires have become famous for.

Among his many accomplishments in the show ring in England, he was Winner of the coveted King George Cup at Peterborough, Reserve Senior Champion Stallion- NYS Fair 2007, Reserve Senior Champion Stallion- KILE 2007

We welcomed Cardinal to the herd just before the 2008 breeding season. Born April 12, 1994, Cardinal stood an honest 18 hands and was the son of the well known Shire stallion Deighton Commodore, and grandson of the celebrated Cubley Charlie. Before his importation to the states he accrued an impressive show record in the UK, including winning grand champion and the coveted King George Cup at Peterborough.

Once in the states he continued to build his winnings, and began producing foals who were equally successful in the show ring. After coming to the farm in July, he quickly built upon his already impressive reputation—proving to be a consistent performer and a true gentlemen.

Roscoe was born February 22, 1989 and came to us in 1993. He proved to be an excellent halter and performance horse—capturing wins in everything from cart to barrel racing! Though he stood a modest 17.2, he had an excellent presence and way of going. Roscoe was athletic, graceful, had correct conformation, and better yet passed all of his good traits onto his foals. He sired several of the mares in our breeding herd, including Ox Kill Minnie Pearl and Ox Kill Madam Sophia. Roscoe found his niche in Shire Sport Horse breeding, having sired several Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse cross offspring who went on to be successful in conformation classes as well as various riding disciplines.
